I started Servers@Home because when I was trying to learn the basics of homelabbing, the internet wasn't a welcoming place to ask beginner questions. I had to endure a lot of hostility and gatekeeping just to get the knowledge I was looking for. Once I became more knowledgeable, I started answering questions for others who were struggling with the same issues I had faced. I quickly grew tired of retyping the same responses over and over, so I built a wiki to document everything I'd learned. The wiki gained traction in the community, and people started requesting accompanying video tutorials for the articles. What began as a simple documentation project evolved into a full content platform, and the rest, as they say, grew from there.
With over 15 years of experience in IT, I bring a versatile background spanning systems administration, cloud infrastructure, database management, and cybersecurity. I've worked across both Windows and Linux environments, implementing secure systems aligned with NIST and ISO 27001 frameworks. My professional experience includes managing hybrid cloud environments, automating workflows with PowerShell and Python, and overseeing database operations for high-availability systems. I'm passionate about making enterprise-level technology accessible to homelab enthusiasts and breaking down complex concepts into practical, beginner-friendly tutorials.
